Frequently Asked Questions: Removals

To help alleviate much of the stress usually associated with moving home, we've prepared a list of frequently asked questions which, we hope, will provide you with the information you are looking for. If however you still need to

  • Are your staff fully trained?
    Man2van Services are committed to providing regular and ongoing training so that all staff know the best packing and handling techniques.
  • Can you help with partial moves?
    Absolutely, we transport all small or part-loads.
  • Do we have to pay a deposit?
    Yes, a £30 deposit will be taken by SumUp Payment Link via a secure website, to confirm the booking date / timeslot 14 day's prior to the service date. Full payment is then required upon arrival before work commences. For all short notice work, a deposit will be required on the day of booking. If the booking is cancelled on the week leading up to the moving date, a late Cancelation Fee will be charged. Please view our Terms and Conditions.
  • How do you calculate the price for a full two bedroom house removals service?
    The moving house service is charged hourly with additional discounts for half day and full day hire. There is a fuel charge per mile after 6 mile's and long distance trips are priced on an individual basis.
  • Can you transport my plants?
    Yes. We can transfer your greenery, though not into storage.
  • How do i arrange a quotation?
    It's easy- call us on 07860 137 830 or visit our contact page and send us your details.
  • Are you an insured service provider?
    Yes, each removals service provider has an active Goods in Transit and Public Liability insurances.
  • What if i need to store our furniture/other large items?
    Just arrange your storage requirements and we will take care of the rest.
  • I need to vacate my property but there will be a few day's until my new home becomes available. what do i do?
    Just arrange your self-Storage and we will take care of the rest.
  • Will Man2van Services disconnect my washing machine?
    No. We take care of most things. but that's something you will have to sort out yourself before moving day.
  • Can we provisional book a moving date?
    Unfortunately we can't take provisional bookings. A service date has to be confirmed.
  • I'm packing by myself but what about large pieces of furniture? Can you move those?
    Absolutely. Our vans all have safe and easy loading and unloading but if the piece of furniture is too big, we can dismantle it.
  • Will you do all my packing and unpacking?
    Yes, but only if you want us to. It depends on your preferences. We carry out a full packing service, but if you choose to, you can pack by yourself.
